Dear Friends of DACP,
It’s Spring. The Disability Art and Culture Project is growing. We are excited to announce our first all-youth performance, “Bloom.” Our dancers have been rehearsing diligently to bring you a spectacular performance.
Bloom will feature new work, including three solos, and bring back old favorites “Purpabulous” and “Rippling Wings.” We also are pleased to introduce our guest artist, teen poet Rahma Sadik.
Bloom is funded in part by the Regional Arts and Culture Council and Work For Art. Costs for our performance include: $1000 for costumes and props, $1000 for photography and videography, and $1000 for rental of the mOuth studio for dance classes, rehearsals, and the performances.
DACP needs your support, not only to cover these costs, but also to build funds for our fifth Disability Pride Art and Culture Festival, Spring 2012.
We hope you will join us at the recital and support our work with a contribution. Please send your checks to Disability Art and Culture Project, c/o Kathy Coleman, 259 SE 162nd Avenue, Portland, OR 97233.
Many thanks,
Kathy
