Over the next few weeks, leading up to the Inclusive Arts Vibe Dance Company performance Home/Unrestrained, we will be posting profiles of company members on our website.

Meet Monique Peloquin!

Monique dancing solo. Monique is dancing toward the left of the photo frame, left leg pointing behind her, arms partially raised in motion, head tilted to the left with her ponytail flying behind her and her bangs trailing across her forehead. Monique is in black leggings and a black sleeveless dance top, with bright lights shining on her in the darkened dance studio; shadows stretch behind her and to the right across the dance studio floor.

Monique is 13 years old and is a 7th grader at Vestal School.  She loves dance and drama–especially hip-hop.  She loves taking dance classes!  This is Monique’s second year with IAVDC.

Image of IAVDC dancers performing in a dance studio with wood floors and stage lights hanging from the ceiling behind them. Rachel, in black leggings, a black t-shirt with a white skull printed on the front, and fingerless black gloves with skull and crossbones, is in the frong left, right arm raised; Monique, front center, in a black tulle skirt, black leggings, and a red t-shirt with slashes in the front making a heart shape over another black shirt, also has her right arm raised; Chloe, in white socks, black leggings, and a short-sleeved black dress with skulls printed all over it pose in the frong row; two dancers with similar red lipstick and dark eyemakeup are somewhat visible standing with right arms raised in the second row, though they're blocked by the front row, and two dancers in wheelchairs and a PA are in the back row, also in black clothes, the dancer on the left obscured and the dancer on the right in black pants, black long-sleeved shirt, and a white shirt with a goth pattern, raising her arm with her PA who's dressed in black. The dancers' expressions are intent, looking to their left.

Monique will be dancing at Home/Unrestrained on May 3, 4, and 5!
