“Chickens and Cheese Pizza,” May 2017 IAVDC Performances

The Inclusive Arts Vibe Dance Company (IAVDC) invites you to their 5th annual performances, “Chickens and Cheese Pizza,” May 5-7, 2017!

IAVDC is a unique cross disability and integrated youth/young adult dance company.  May performances will delve into a myriad of emotions of raw truths, sassiness, hope and humor expressing the full human experience in the Company’s innovative choreography.

Intriguing new repertoire:

“Moving Abstract” featuring musicians from Divergent Opera.
“Chicken Delight”.
“Generosity” choreographed by Arrow Bless.
“Wings” Choreographed by Rachel Esteve.
“Listless Frost” a trio about lost love.

Company dancers include Daric Anderson, Eleanor Baily, Arrow Bless, Ryan Blumhardt, Rachel Esteve, Peter Heiken, Addie Nelson, Monique Peloquin and Scott Selby.  Read more about the dancers.

Friday May 5: 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.  Free community performance*
Friday May 5: 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Saturday May 6: 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Sunday May 7: 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m

*School and community groups are welcome to RSVP by email to attend our free performance: disabilityartculture@gmail.com.

Location: New Expressive Works, 810 SE Belmont St, Portland, OR 97214

Admission: $15, tickets available in advance and at the door.  Purchase a ticket in advance with a $15 PayPal contribution: https://www.paypal.me/disabilityartculture.

Performances are accessible and include ASL interpretation, audio description (please check specific dates), and wheelchair access.

ON HIATUS:

Our Open Art Sessions and are on hiatus for the time being, while we explore other options for a meeting space, but we had a great 6 months. Check out our facebook page for photos of some of the artwork!
